Send me a sample of your manuscript in its own document (the first chapter or up to 5,000 words, whichever comes first), and I’ll mark it up so you can see exactly how I work. If we click, we move forward. If not, that's totally fine.

My pricing is flat-rate and transparent, with zero pressure.

The rates below cover manuscripts up to 90,000 words. If your book’s longer, I’ll let you know exactly what the add-on will be before we start—no unclear quotes, and absolutely no hidden fees. What I quote you is exactly how much the Xero invoice will be.

All services at Heat & Heart Editorial are priced in AUD (Australian dollars), but I work with authors all over the world. If you’re outside Australia, I’ll give you a quote in your currency when you book, no surprises, no stress.

Your book lives or dies in the first chapter. If your opening feels flat, muddy, or you’re not sure it even works, this is where you start. I’ll go line by line, digging into what works, what doesn’t, and why your opening scene isn’t hooking like it should.

Final Eyes

This is the final polish pass. I’ll comb through your manuscript and catch the sneaky stuff—typos, punctuation slips, missing words, and consistency glitches—without touching your voice or style.

You’ll get:

Full track-changes and light edit in the platform you choose. I prefer Google Docs and Word, but I am happy to work with others.
Comments on awkward phrasing, filter words, redundancy, rhythm, and clarity.
Grammar and punctuation fixes
3–4 week turnaround
