💀 Delightfully Unhinged: A Book Launch & A Teaser ☕

July was chaos, babes. Absolutely delightful, nerve-fraying chaos.
Let’s start with the good stuff: I released Inevitably Us into the world. That messy, queer, angsty, soul-punching beast of a book finally saw the light of day. And wow, did you lot show up!
Massive thanks to The Authors Archive and Books & Bitches Downunder for helping it find fresh eyes.
I screamed when it hit #35 on Hot New Releases for Small Town Romance.
That’s a sentence I never thought I’d write. So, thank you. Truly.
Then, because my brain has the fight-or-flight instincts of a squirrel running on espresso, I decided to peek at the reviews.
And yep, I saw a negative one. Did it knock the wind out of me? A bit. But after I rage cleaned my house (and blasted some Sleep Token), I took a breather and reminded myself: they’re not my reader. And that’s fine.
Because Inevitably Us is messy. It’s high angst, it’s queer, and it digs into grief, identity, found family, and complicated love. It’s not neat or polite. It’s not meant to be. It’s meant to stir something. Discomfort included.
And here’s something I haven’t said publicly yet: I worked with a sensitivity reader from within the community to make sure the representation was honest and respectful.
It passed with flying colours, and that matters to me—not just telling the story but telling it right.
Which brings me to my current dark romance WIP.
Okay, okay… I know I’ve been teasing this book for months. I’m That Author right now. But I swear it’s only because I love this story with my whole chaotic heart.
This WIP is dark romance in all the ways I adore: emotionally messy, morally questionable, and dangerously tender. It’s been clawing at me since the first line, and I honestly can’t shut up about it.
So! Instead of bottling it up, I’m doing something a little unhinged (but fun): I’m sharing a chapter with you right now.
